Subtitle: who are you and what did you do with me?

I've never been a "beer person." There are beer people, wine people, and liquor people. I was a liquor person when I drank. Frankly, my exposure to beer has so often been what I unaffectionately call Oklahoma pee water. It's horrible and it tastes like watered down ass. I'm the kind of girl who can drink an Americano or Negroni and not flinch. Give me flavor, dammit! Not pee water. So imagine my surprise when I discovered craft beer. If you are going to eat locally, why not drink locally, too? There's this dude I have a mild crush on who looks kinda like Tom Hiddleston in the Loki'd skit and he introduced me to the concept.

I know, I know. Cherchez l'homme in this case. How cliche. You have my permission to wave a finger at me and say, "Tsk, tsk." That may have been why I tried it, but I have found that craft beer has more flavor and depth. I had no idea what I had been missing. I still like Guinness and I had a black velvet last week that verged on a religious experience. But honestly, I never would have guessed that beer could taste better than watered down, 3 point ass.
I'm one of those girls 'round here, drinking that ice cold non-pee water beer.
