Fox Barrel Cider - apricot pear

I found a store with what I'd call a beer hodgepodge. I picked up some Fox Barrel cider, one of which I tried today. Apricot pear just plain sounded good. And it is but I spiced it up a bit more with Guinness to make a poor man's black velvet-- or at least some type of version of one.

It's not bad. The Guinness subtracts some of the sweetness and adds a little texture. Apparently Fox Barrel was bought out by Miller, so it looks like something locally conceived but isn't. That said, I enjoyed it and would love to try the rhubarb elderberry blend if I can find it.
