Everyone (as in: people who care about these things, LOL) seems to have a different opinion on which is better: cardio first or weight training first. I've heard it described by personal trainers as a debate sorta like "which came first: the chicken or the egg?" I have never claimed to be a medical professional but for me, I have recently reversed the order of my exercising and it has helped tremendously. Traditionally, I have always done cardio first and, when I wanted to strength train, I'd do that second. Way back when I learned how to box, my instructor always had me go through cardio first and then my boxing lesson second. I think a lot of people do it that way. I read an article though that suggested it's better to go through your weight routine first and save the cardio for second. For me, it's been great to do that. So I am passing this nugget along to you. If you don't have the ability to weight train or you are at the beginning of a regimen, cardio is best. Cardio is what will make your heart and lungs grow stronger and it's what will get rid of the extra fat you're dragging along. But when you're ready to add weights, it's worth a try to reverse the order.
More to come.
