A quick shout-out

I have to give a quick shout-out tonight to my friend, Joe. Hadn't talked to him in a while because he's in the military and has been busy and out of the country on a deployment. But in talking to him tonight, it gave me a renewed sense of hope. Don't know quite how to explain it without sounding really corny but that's how I feel. I got a fortune cookie yesterday that said my faith would soon be renewed. And today it was. I was feeling a little down and out yesterday because I'd come to the conclusion that a friendship of mine was going nowhere. Well, not only going nowhere, but perhaps going somewhere bad-- any friendship that makes you feel unappreciated, used, and lesser than is a crappy one. I don't like it when someone who's supposed to care about me acts like he is doing me a favor by deigning to be my friend. If it's that much of a lowering of yourself to speak to me on a regular basis, lower yourself right down to Hell and fuck off. LOL. Anyway, back to the point. In talking to Joe I realized that when someone is your friend / wants to be your friend, it shows. Doesn't matter if we're talking men, women, platonic, romantic, whatever. If a person cares, it shows. And if a person doesn't, that shows, too. So I say, blog readers, if there is ever a point where you begin to think everyone out there is an asshole, it's not true. To revisit a concept I posted in my last birthday blog: if one person breaks your heart, someone else will be there to help you pick up the pieces.

And now for a funny:

I remember this episode, of course, but I forgot that Ashton said it looks like Simon wears clothes from Baby Gap. I nearly choked to death in that part.
