"Oh, I'm sorry, we're all out of breadsticks."

"Well, listen to this song I just farted out. I think you'll like it. Maybe." - David Cross from the Abstinence skit on T&EASGJ.

I have to laugh at something because, goddamn, this economy sucks a nut. Actually, it sucks many, many fat greasy unwashed nuts. Ok, I know I'm only 27 so my frame of reference for economic downturns is limited but I think within my lifetime, this is the worst I remember the economy being. I think over the past couple of years, I've seen more and more people struggling who weren't struggling before. I feel like after I pay my bills each month, I ain't got shit left. And my pay rate isn't terrible-- it's just that everything seems to be increasing in cost and there's no letting up on the pressure. Fuuuuuuck.

Anyway, I'm feeling physically better at least after having the virus from hell. Also trying to get my vacation plans re-routed. My friend and I had been planning to go to Austin again to SXSW but the line-up was, well, not what we expected. So, we thought, "If the people we want to see aren't coming to us, we'll go to them." We're trying to make that happen. I'm hoping and praying I don't have to use the vacation money I have worked for and saved on paying bills. Urrgh. Ok, I can't get on that train of thought or I'll be aggravated again. If things come together the way I hope, we'll be meeting some fantastic people again like we did at SXSW last year. We'll see how it goes.

From the same T&E episode: "I'm a demon."
