Sylvia is on a re-run of Intervention at the moment. I remember watching this episode one night at my parents' house when Intervention used to air on Sundays. During one of Sylvia's screaming sessions outdoors, my mom goes, "Can you imagine what it must be like to be her neighbor with all that screaming and mess going on?" It was funny.
Darkness settling. That sounds rather ominous, doesn't it? I think fall is edging closer for us. It seemed to take much longer this morning for light to break and it's dark much earlier tonight. Kind of an odd feeling to get used to again, especially since it was sticky outside today. Walked out from work and it felt like a wall of sweat hitting me right in the face. I stopped to get gas and saw quite a collection of folks. I went in to the actual store so I could buy a couple of those lottery scratchers in an effort to win some extra $$ for my upcoming trip. (Tonight I was unsuccessful.) I was stuck in line behind some crazy MF-ers. Weird hooker chick who kept getting in and out of line to talk on her cell phone. Weird man with yellow yarn braided into his hair who came in to buy a gallon of orange juice, which cost $3.80. He slams a five dollar bill down on the counter and runs out of the store with his jug of juice. There was another man who smelled like terrible body odor who kept running in and out of the store to have a fight with his morbidly obese girlfriend. There was a weird Angelina Jolie chick who had a family with her that consisted of a cornucopia of kids of different ages, races, colors and creeds. There was a man inside wearing a heavy parka even though it was 85 degrees outside with high humidity. I felt like I couldn't get in and pay for my shit fast enough. The overall theme for the place was, as you might guess, "weird."
