Am I to take this as no The Saint for JP? Is this a Saint-alike series but not involving Simon Templar? I do not understand! You do not get the genius of RGM to say, "I think James Purefoy would be a good Simon Templar," get me all hot and bothered about it, tell me it's to be released in the US, take it away from me, and then repackage it as Simon but not Simon. What in the hell. Oh, I'll still watch it. Since I finished Rome, I am jonesing for a Purefoy fix. I just do not understand this situation.

Makes me think of Peter Griffin's letter to Life cereal. Something like:

Dear Hijackers of The Saint Project:

Where do you get off? Who do you think you are?
